In different rooms
only the TV talking
Snow is falling.

An attempt at haiku for One Stop Poetry Form- A little Tanka A little Haiku on http://onestoppoetry.com/2011/02/one-stop-poetry-form-a-little-tanka-a-little-haiku.html,
This form is challenging. I know what I wanted to portray with this haiku. Did I manage to do it?  Hmmm

Abandoned

Sticking cognition
causing delays.
Words in place
unable to return
overlapping
unintelliglble.
Synapses firing
a dried up
ribbon of thought.
Broken case
holding
the dust of stories
fallen off
the brittle page
           abandoned
                    forgotten

I am your breathing
brought to life by your inhales
tasting your exhales
sucked deeply through parted lips
my heart inflates with your love.

Thanks to Lady Nyo for the wonderful history and explanation of tanka on One Stop Poetry form. http://onestoppoetry.com/  This is my attempt.

The view

One Shoot Sunday Picture Prompt http://onestoppoetry.com/

The View

There’s been no change.

Each morning the attendants
lift her out of bed
into the wheelchair,
making sure the ties
that keep her from falling out
are fastened securely.

She hasn’t spoken for weeks.
Has made no sign
she is aware
they are there.
“Good morning, Ruby.
It’s a lovely day today.”

They park her by the window
in case there might be
something left
up there
to notice the view.
But they’re sure there isn’t.

They leave her
inside her crumbling mind
where the view
thru the window
never changes.

What I am

A simple Valentine poem for A Saturday Celebration: St. Valentine's Day on http://onestoppoetry.com/

All the things I’m not
pale to the one thing I am
               I am loved by you

This is my second attempt at One Shoot Sunday on onestoppoetry.com  http://bit.ly/i85rRk I am surprised at what came out after looking at this fabulous picture prompt provided by photographer Sean McCormick.
House of Blues

House of Blues
my heart
blood red inside
oozing with each puncture made
by leaving words
stabbing holes
in the hurt-eaten framework
that was once
solid love
